Five Element Acupuncture At Six Senses Spa Laamu

Amber West, a renowned practitioner of five element acupuncture will visit Six Senses Spa at Six Senses Laamu from October 27 to November 30. Five-element acupuncture is an ancient form of Chinese medicine which treats the imbalance of the Five Elements: wood, fire, earth, metal and water which leads to disease of the body, mind and spirit.

There are many reasons why people may turn to acupuncture. Anxiety, depression, insomnia, headaches allergies, infertility and stress management are some of the common reasons to seek Chinese medicine. Five-element acupuncture works at a deep level helping the healing and transformation of patients on all levels.

Amber spent six years studying meditation and movement therapies which helped her to understand how the body rejuvenates. This knowledge, integrated with her attention, skill and intuition, creates a powerful foundation and has helped heal the bodies of numerous patients, recover their sense of balance and open themselves to greater potentials.

Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, she followed her inner desire to live in Seattle, where she began studying psychology and became passionate about five-element acupuncture. Amber earned her degree in acupuncture from the Wu Hsing Tao School in Seattle and upon graduation she founded her own healthcare practice specializing in the treatment of mind, body and spirit disorders. She has offered her services to homeless teens and she has also practiced in community clinics

During her visit at Six Senses Spa, Amber will be offer two acupuncture sessions:

Acupuncture Enhanced Bodywork – Tui Na is a unique form of therapeutic massage in Chinese medicine which is especially beneficial for people who hold stress in their muscles. This form of bodywork helps to physically release tension and reset the structure. When combined with five-element acupuncture, healing and restoration is experienced. Each session is designed to meet the needs of the individual patient with greater focus on acupuncture or bodywork.

Acupuncture with Meditation – Meditation as a powerful healing technique can be used to calm the mind, release stress, break unwanted habits, reduce pain and increase energy. The treatment starts with acupuncture, followed by meditation to further support the acupuncture.

120 minutes – USD 380++

Tui Na Bodywork – This treatment focuses on releasing stagnant energy held in the meridians and muscles through a combination of massage techniques. As tension is released, the mind, the body and the emotions are reminded how to be at ease and deeper levels of healing and integration take place. Essential oils are tailored to meet each patients needs and are incorporated in the bodywork to further support healing.
