Hotel Jen Male’, Maldives by Shangri-La celebrates Global Wellness Day 2019

On Saturday, June 08, 2019 Hotel Jen Male’ Maldives opened a healthy DIY juice bar at the all-day dining restaurant Lime in the observance of annual Global Wellness Day. In this occasion guests including fitness professionals from Maldives were invited and the station was well received. The F&B team who championed the juice bar explained the benefits of each combination of fruits and vegetable drinks which was very interesting for the guests. Hotel Jen also provided a special menu option in combination with the day which was designed to promote and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

Other awareness activities continued at the back of the house for the staffs. The staff restaurant had a fun DIY sandwich station and was set up with different options of scrumptious meats, filings with a healthy menu which was enjoyed by everyone.

Special healthy lifestyle posters were put up at staff area to promote the day as a reminder for everyone on the importance of being active and eating healthy reminding the importance of living well, encompassing everything from exercise and taking care of yourself, ways of thinking and the harmony between body and spirit. The social movement, which is devoid any commercial purpose, is celebrated around the world on the second Saturday of every June each year.
