Ayada Maldives occupies Magudhdhuvaa Island in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, in the south of the country, a region with many stunning reefs to explore. You can reach it by a 55-minute domestic flight from Velana International Airport to Kaadedhdhoo followed by a 50-minute speedboat. A Turkish accent runs through the resort AySpa; the spa covers 3,500 m² and has a private Turkish hammam, while the Ottoman Lounge serves Turkish coffee, speciality teas and shisha from low Ottoman stools. The resort is great for a snorkelling holiday as it has an incredible house reef. A coral reef rings the whole island, and snorkellers can enter it from the beach at most points. Gaafu Dhaalu picks up swell from every direction, and the resort runs its own surf boats to named breaks 10 to 25 minutes away. It suits snorkellers, surfers and families who will trade a long journey for an empty corner of the Maldives. Three jogging tracks loop the island, the longest measuring 1.6 kilometres.
