Alila Kothaifaru Maldives is a 5-star private island resort located in Raa Atoll, approximately 160 km from Velana International Airport (MLE).

TRANSFER & LOCATION: The island is accessible via a Seaplane (45 minutes) or a domestic flight followed by a speedboat transfer. The resort features 80 villas, including 44 Beach Villas and 36 Water Villas, situated on an 11.2-hectare island with a house reef and close proximity to the Hanifaru Bay UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.

Spa Alila is the resort's little wellness centre, tucked away just above the trees. A unique experience is provided by the spa, which is surrounded by the seclusion of the jungle foliage. The treatment suites at the spa are linked together by bridges and raised on stilts to sit among the canopy of trees. Each treatment suite has a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the lush botanical life, a private bathroom and a shower.

Seasalt is a restaurant and bar that provides a creative mix of flavours from around the world in a laid-back coastal setting. Local fish, caught and supplied daily by nearby local fishermen, is the star of the show at Seasalt. The restaurant carefully sources and delicately prepares sea salt for local fish. Enjoy the taste of the sea in meals that are bursting with ancient herbs, spices, and colours in coastal cuisine that combines Middle Eastern and Mediterranean inspirations and traditions. Along with freshly made bread, breakfast features a daily rotation of regional and international favourites. Lunch features daily specials paired with light, sharing-style dishes, while the supper menu showcases the restaurant's renowned salt-baked fish dishes.

The Shack
Sail on a traditional Maldivian dhoni to the resort's nearby secluded sandbank for a special culinary adventure, just for two (or a small group). Alila Kothaifaru's own little sand cay, The Shack, offers a true island getaway experience (Giri). There are two different forms of daily visits to The Shack: (1) a 4-hour day trip with a picnic-style lunch, and (2) a 4-hour evening visit with a private chef who prepares a BBQ for dinner by the sun. An advanced reservation is required.
